Are You A Winner?

If you don't see yourself as a winner,

Fun Friday Quote for Pet Lovers

Lazily napping before his next big meal, petting-fest, belly rub, can of tuna, mouthful of medication, family discussion, etc., etc., etc.......

When this cat was alive, he was a very high maintenance,
but loving family member...
Though sometimes we wished he could fetch us the paper...

" Dogs have owners; cats have staff."

Why I Wednesday: Y.I. Think Goals Are Easier Said Than Done

Anything worth having is worth sacrificing for.

'Goal'
is an easy word to say,
but not always an easy one to use.

With 'Goal' as My One Word for 2012
I know that at some point I would realize that I'd have to say 'No' to certain things...
A new PTA meeting
Another Volunteer spot
My Favorite T.V. Show
Sleeping in...

So I could say yes to others:
Spending time with my family
Relaxing with a good book
Getting quality work done
Going on a Field Trip with My Child's Class

I'm happy to say, I never regret good decisions.

What do you give up so you can accomplish your goals?
What's most difficult about this for you?

Feel the Fear and Dive Into Your Dreams Anyway!

wallpaperweb.org
I'm signed up to get these daily motivational emails
and sometimes I just love what they say!
This one I just had to share:

"When in doubt, make a fool of yourself. There is a microscopically thin line between being brilliantly creative and acting like the most gigantic idiot on earth.
So what the hell, leap."

Fairwell Motivational Magnet Monday: It's up to you...

This is the last Motivational Magnet Monday. It was fun and inspiring and similar to viewing old photographs, this project reminded me where I was and what was going on in my life when I put them on the fridge...

This last one that I am sharing with you is a simple, but practical one, and is quite similar to a quote  which my teen said to me during my divorce-minus one 'never'....(at the time she was only nine)...

And I'm so glad I didn't....
Thanks Sweetie...

Fun Friday the 13th: Why You Shouldn't Worry

Because, today is my lucky day!

I've always had luck on the old number '13'!

The mirror...not so much.
The number, no problem.

I challenge you to relax today...and actually look for good things...rather than bad.

Because sometimes it's not the # (or the circumstance) but how we view it, is all.

Y.I. Wednesday: Why I Choose to Live Without This...

Opportunities only come once...

Or at least most times they do.

And...we often hem and haw so long about making a decision that we reach a complete stand still.

Being there stinks....

But, sometimes, it's not easy to know which is the right choice until it's already picked...lived and experienced.

(Hence why there's a phrase which states: Hind site is 20/20.)

I really hate that phrase, and something I hate even more is regret.

So, I've refused to live with it...

Here's how I do that:

1. Take my time listing pros and cons of any big decision
2. Make only the types of decisions which resonate with my own personal goals/values
3. Do my homework before jumping in (or out) of something
4. Not be a people pleaser
5. Take my time making big decisions; and only after 1-4 has been considered, which will generally not
    be  done quickly.
6. Promise myself that I will not beat myself up over it if it goes South....(or blame someone else) but
just accept it, learn from it, make the best of it, move on and make a better decision next time.

(And, maybe double check to see if I have applied 1-5 this time around.)

Recognize that your life is too short to:

                                                            A) Live for Someone Else
                                                            B) Feel Pressured
                                                            C) Be Miserable with Your Choices

                                                                    Live with Regret

So, don't do it.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."  (Mark Twain)

Y.I. Wednesday: Why I Ditched Twitter

Well, it's not exactly like it sounds...
Or maybe it is.

Last summer I jumped on the Birdy-Bandwagon... and since fall, I've been thinking that the only reason I like Twitter is because it's the quickest, coolest way to get News and Sports.
For the most part, I still think think this way.

But, you see, I'd been contemplating killing the bird a while back, when every time I clicked on a Tweet, I was then linked to another place to 'click'...to which sometimes the link was good, sometimes not...sometimes info was cool, other times not so much..

BOOOOOOORRRRINNNNNNNGGGG.....

It just seemed like a waste of time.

So, I stopped using Twitter to reach out for info...but kept it wondering, 'What if people want to reach ME!?' Well, I had a very quick (and easy) answer to that...

Anyone who wants to read my work can Google or visit any one of my websites to access just about any part of my work.

Sometimes when we just can't make a decision, the decision is occasionally made for us.

I kind of like it when this happens.
It saves me time... (And I need as much as I can get!)

Since I am writing a book, working, running a business, and busy being a parent, I recognized that something had to go but hadn't yet decided if I ought to oust the blue bird...

So, when I recently, accidentally, fowled up my password, and had to hit 'reset'…

I decided against following through with the reset email....

Now, my life is a tad less cluttered and I have a wee bit more time.

Nighty-Night Twitter...

Hmmm, let's see what else can I ditch.
Facebook anyone?

Motivational Magnet Monday: Persevere

A favorite quote of mine which reminds me that no matter what is standing in front of you,
or what is behind you, you and/will be what you were meant to be!
